Frequently asked questions

What we're asked most about AINI Academy's first cohort.

For young people who are already building something—a startup, a product, a research project, a community or a creative project—and want to do it with AI. University students, recent graduates and early-stage founders. It's for people 18 and over.

No. We don't require coding skills, but we do require having built something, with or without code. The pre-work, before Week 1, covers the fundamentals from scratch and reaches you the day you're admitted. Then the first week's diagnostic adjusts your path to your level.

Something you made yourself and can show: a product, a repository, a research project, an initiative with real people behind it. It doesn't have to be big or technical. We admit you for what you've already done, not for your job title or your grades, and we talk about it in the 45-minute interview.

Either one. In the first week we diagnose where you're starting from and build a personal eight-week path with you to turn it into a working project.

You always apply and pay individually—there is no team application. Teams are formed within the bootcamp, in the first week of the bootcamp, with a minimum of 3 people. Each team has an assigned mentor and its members review each other's work; each person builds their own project.

In both cases you apply yourself, individually—that doesn't change. As an individual: the receipt is issued in your name. Invoiced to your company or startup: your company or startup pays for your spot and the receipt is an invoice in its name, with its RUC (Peruvian tax ID).

The price is shared in the admission interview, before any charge. It's a single payment: there are no modules, materials or sessions charged separately. You do need, on your own, a paid account with an AI model (Claude, Kimi or another)—around US$25 a month while the program lasts (8 weeks), which you pay to the provider, not to AINI. You see the exact amount on the enrollment page, which you reach through the link we email you if you're admitted after the interview, and before confirming any charge.

Once you submit your application, you schedule a 45-minute interview at a time that suits you. In the interview we look at what you've already built and what you want to build, and answer your questions; you pay nothing before or during it. If we admit you, we email you the link to complete your enrollment and reserve your spot. From the time you enroll until the cohort starts you receive the pre-work: asynchronous fundamentals, so that you arrive on equal footing on day one.

It's an agent in the program's Slack, prepared with the bootcamp materials, that answers your questions at any hour while you build. It doesn't replace the instructors or your mentor: the workshops are still live and the questions channel with the instructors stays open.

With your project's two deliverables, not attendance: the first in week 4 and the finished project at the week 8 demo day, in front of mentors and peers.

Yes. By taking part in the sessions you receive AINI's certificate of participation. If you also submit and pass both deliverables, you receive AINI's certificate of achievement. Your project stays published in your portfolio.

The workshops are live on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8–9 p.m. Peru time (GMT-5). They're all recorded, so you can catch up on any of them. The content between sessions is 25 minutes a day, which you take whenever you want, and your personal path adjusts what you see and in what order.

They're all recorded. The deliverables, the review with your mentor and the AI tutor stay the same.
